DescriptionThe Hungarian national social innovation competence centre (IFKA Társadalmi Innovációs Kompetencia Központ) was established in 2022-2023 in the framework of the SI Plus project. The centre is operated by the IFKA Public Benefit Non-profit Ltd. in Budapest. Its contact points are available at the Eötvös Lóránt Science University (ELTE), the University of Miskolc and the Pannon University as a result of the cooperation with the National Laboratory for Social Innovation (TinLab).
The centre aims at supporting the creation, the development and the scaling of social innovation practices in Hungary. Accordingly, the centre assesses the situation of social innovation, maps the domestic social innovation ecosystem and collects good practices. Its services also include various support services (e.g. information sharing, strategic planning and networking) provided to policy actors and managing authorities responsible for the area as well as to the innovators themselves and the professional organizations helping them. The competence centre organises the IFKA Social Innovation Award competition too.

DescriptionWe have created this online space to bring together people and organizations that design and develop social innovations. Its purpose is to bring together the knowledge, skills and experience of multiple stakeholders in a club of impact activists. We believe that every participant in this process can be useful in the network that we are pushing to create and develop. Every published resource, news article, event or good practice, every connection made between people and organizations for us is a job well done.
